Therapy for ADHDers:
by a therapist with ADHD

You were the kid who couldn’t sit still, so the teacher called you disruptive.
Eventually, you stopped raising your hand. You stopped trying.
Now you overthink every email before you send it—terrified of being “too much.”

You were the quiet one—dreamy, spacey, always “off in your own world.”
No one saw how hard you were trying to keep up.
Now you push yourself to exhaustion to prove you’re not lazy.

You were praised for being mature for your age.
You took care of everyone else, because no one seemed to notice you needed care too.
Now you don’t know how to ask for help without feeling like a burden.

You were told to stop crying, to stop overreacting, to stop making things harder than they had to be.
So you learned to laugh things off.
Now you can’t tell if you’re actually okay or just really good at pretending.

Did any of that sound familiar?

Yeah, I thought so—because I’ve been there too. I get the constant push-pull of wanting to do it all and feeling completely stuck. Here, we’ll work together to start unlearning the shame, unveiling the masks, and help your nervous system finally breathe.

ADHD can feel like carrying an invisible weight that no one else seems to notice.

So when you’re looking for a therapist who gets what it’s actually like to navigate life with ADHD (or if you’re just starting to wonder if ADHD might be your story), it makes a world of difference to work with someone who doesn’t just “get it” on paper—but lives it, too.

MEET YOUR THERAPIST:

Hi, I'm Samantha Skvaril—

My late diagnosis of ADHD (with a whole lot of masking and side of shame) completely changed the way I saw myself. It wasn’t just about finally understanding why everything felt so hard—it was about reclaiming my story, my identity, and my nervous system.

But you know what I couldn’t find? A therapist who actually got it. Someone who understood the lived experience of ADHD, the shame spirals, the constant push-pull of “I should be able to do this,” and the overwhelm of trying to keep it all together.

As an ADHD—Certified Clinical Services Provider (ADHD-CCSP) and a therapist with lived experience, I specialize in helping women & non-binary folks with ADHD through individual and group psychotherapy.
